"Their assessment process was highly professional and not until they were satisfied and comfortable with the vessel did they accept the handover and then depart from Swansea."

Yacht Delivery
We will take the utmost care in the delivery of your vessel. From your initial contact with us through to the final report, we are on hand 7 days a week to guide you through the delivery process.

Our team of skippers are meticulous to detail and will take every step to ensure your boat arrives in the best of condition. (read here for more about our skippers )

A typical delivery schedule is listed below.

  • Initial contact from owner leads to research of vessel by Paragon Yachting and quotation offered, dependant on various considerations, e.g. length of voyage, if an autopilot is fitted etc.
  • Skipper and Crew (including at least two qualified yachtmasters) confirmed for passage.
  • Liaison between PY and owner to confirm boat is ready for sea, and if not what steps need to be taken.
  • Weather window confirmed.
  • Skipper and crew arrive at vessel. Full inventory performed (where possible) including check of safety equipment, including flares and liferaft in date, spare navigation equipment / VHFs on board, correct charts, radar reflectors etc.
  • Skipper, crew and vessel depart and make best possible passage keeping a detailed and regularly updated log. (Picture of sample log available)
  • Vessel’s position is relayed to owner by use of our Marine Track software, allowing the owner to see the position of their vessel through our website polling system.
  • Vessel arrives at destination. Thorough valet of vessel (all surfaces inside cleaned and polished, head linings cleaned, windows polished, deck and top-sides washed, stainless steel polished).
  • Skipper and crew depart vessel.
  • Full report of vessels condition and systems delivered to owner, including copy of log book, assessment of the boats condition and any recommendations from the skipper.

Additional Services

We can assist you on delivery of your own boat. You may be planning your first long passage and want someone to hold your hand for the first few days, or just struggling to find experienced crew. We have recently helped the new owner of a Halberg Rassey 49 on safe delivery from Hamble to Largs, as well as the owner of a brand new Dehler 39 who wanted assurance on the first day (Hamble to Eastbourne) of his delivery to the home port of Ipswich.

We can also advise on safety equipment, and arrange for the hire or purchase of liferafts, EPIRBS and lifejackets etc.

Our prices are available on request. Please visit our about us page to learn more about some of our highly experienced skippers.
