William Page

Yacht Delivery

William started sailing at the age of 7 on the river Yealm as reluctant crew in his father’s Enterprise. As he has matured he has moved to Toppers, Lasers, 420s, Solings, Etchells, and finally to larger yachts.

Will has worked on boats in a variety of roles, from doing visa runs between Singapore and Thailand and looking after a fleet of Etchells in New Zealand. Will is also an experienced sailmaker (Rellings / North sails) and has also been responsible for the maintenance of a fleet of race charter boats in the Hamble. He also has extensive experience in teaching, charter work and race training.

Having worked as a freelance delivery skipper for many years accruing over 100,000 Nautical Miles, Will took the initiative to setup Paragon Yachting in August 2005.


Martin Wild

Yacht Delivery Skipper

Martin is currently a freelance skipper, he predominantly spends his time running an Oyster 56 out of Hamble. He has over 55000 knm experience, sailing in a variety of waters around the world including Mediterranean, Caribbean, Norway and the UK.


His experience includes; campaigning a Challenge 72’ in the Round Britain & Ireland Challenge Race 2005. Training crews to sail around the world and Great Britain on behalf of the Challenge Business and working on super yachts in the Caribbean, Bermuda and America.


Martin has competed in many events such as the Fastnet Race, Antigua, St Marten, Cowes and Cork Regattas.  


James Gruner

Yacht Delivery Skipper

James learnt to sail at school, where he captained his school racing team. His career in the marine industry started over 10 years ago, teaching dinghy sailing both in the UK and abroad. Since then he has moved up a size and has delivered yachts ranging from 30 -80ft worldwide.

Still a keen racer, he is a regular on the yacht racing circuit and most recently has been running, racing and maintaining two state of the art 76ft ex America's Cup racing yachts.


James McGillivray

James has sailed for 23 years and has been working in the marine industry for 10. He started sailing dinghies at the age of 6 before becoming a dingy instructor, where he taught a wide variety of people including children and the disabled.  He then obtained his yachtmaster and has been working in the industry ever since.

 Throughout the last 10 years James has delivering yachts to such places as St. Lucia, Antigua, the Canaries and parts of Australia. He is now a Yachtmaster instructor and teaches all levels of the RYA syllabus .

He is till involved in the IRC circuit racing around the cans on Prima 38’s Farr 40’s, IMX 40’s Mumm 30’s and 40.7’s.

 In 1994 James set up his own company organising corporate events.   All this and still finding time to work for Paragon Yachting on a Freelance basis!

 


Jasper Heikens 

 Yacht Delivery Skipper

Jasper is an experienced Ocean Yachtmaster who has sailed over 60,000 knm.


He has competed in a wide range of racing events including Fastnet, ARC, Caribbean big boat series, Challenge Transat race, Round Britain & Ireland 2003 and regularly competes round the cans in the Solent.


More recently Jasper has run a fleet of boats for a popular charter company based in Hamble looking after their coding and maintenance requirements.
